I am working on H1B and I already received my EAD and AP on november 2007. During I-484 filing I have not included my wife in my application because of personal reasons. But now i want to file it for my wife in another 2-3 months. Mu queation is that can she travel out of country on her valid H4 visa status while i travel on AP. Will it effects her reentry because I will be using my AP for travel and she dont have AP. Please answer my query.

One think people don't get is, whether the current/future job qualify for EB2, It doesn't matter even you have a Phd and the job only requires Bachelor or equivalent then it is EB3, also certain programming jobs doesn't qualify for EB2. First ask your HR for min job requirement!:(

I received my approval documents yesterday and today I noticed that my name is different from that displayed on my passport and previous H-1B approval.
I have a two-part last name and only the first part is displayed. Will this become an issue? The attorney tried to brush it off and said that the name was the same as the one on the petition (which of course he filled, so I don't know why he used this as an excuse).
I'd like to know if I need to do something about it. I don't want to have problems when exciting the country.
Any advice will be appreciated.

your lawyer. In many cases, the "most recent action by USCIS" counts. So your H1B gets approved and then H4 gets approved, the last action may count. That is why it is important that you consult a good attorney.

Trying to help Mother-In-Law over from China for visit. Unsuccessful w/ tourist Visa process, so now going for Green Card. Received Notice of Decision against me, unable to establish my Petitioner wife is daughter of Beneficiary Mother-In-Law. No hospital records. Previous evidence was "Notarial Certificate of Relationship." I have just received new evidence "Notarial Certificate of Birth" from civil authorities - along with affidavit from school teacher - I need to file EOIR-29, I think to call it APPEAL, OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE, MOTION TO RECONSIDER - can anyone provide a "go-by" as to what format my letter should take? Is letter format acceptable or is formal pleading format needed?
Time is of the essence, I have to file within 24 hours or give up and pursue DNA testing....

Hi,
I had an approved I-140 from my previous company with a priority date of Nov 2005. I moved to a new company, and my GC was applied again in Dec 2006. My previous I-140 was used to retain my priority date. However, my new I-140 from this company shows the priority date of Dec 2006.
How do I make sure that my previous priority date (Nov 2005) is on file, and my case will be filed according to that.
