I listened intently to President Obama's State of the Union speech yesterday. The man is clearly a gifted orator. He stressed the need for cooperation between Democrats and Republicans on the big issues facing our country: the economy, climate change and health care reform, but where oh where was immigration? I m not sure but I think he has to wait till he gets his citizenship . The other way to apply for Tourist or student visa. Tourist visa will be for short time and student visa will be hard to get if the Husband is Green Card holder.

Is it possible for a resident of Pune to apply for a tourist visa at the Hyderabad consulate? The Mumbai consulate doesn't seem to have any openings online, so not sure how to make an appt with the Mumbai consulate..

Hello,
I would like to prepare for the worst scenario that might happen in near future since I only got about two months of H1B
I didn't even know what " RFE" was until I recently received it. From my first H1B app to LC, things have gone so smoothly.. but now I am starting to realize that this could be jeopardize my whole career in U.S if I don't get approved from I140.
When I started my PERM processing last year,my lawyer made sound so easy about getting a GC that the paralegal who handles my case has never told me anything about" if things goes wrong",which I am afraid that it might be happen soon...
If I get denied from I140, Is there a way to extend my H1B ? or any other way to keep my job in U.S legally ? Could anyone give me some advice ?

July 2010 I140 RFE
H1B 6th year (exp. OCT1 2010)

The California Service Center (CSC) will hold a tour of its facility in Laguna Niguel, California, for HR personnel involved with filing immigration cases for their workers. The tour is on March 11, 2010. It will begin at 12:15PM and end at 1:00PM. From 1:00PM to 2:30PM, CSC officers will meet with the visitors and answer questions. The topics will include best practices for filing and advice HR professionals should give their foreign workers. Please let us know by March 5, 2010 if you'd like to attend and we can arrange your visit.

My I-94 and L1A visa expired on October of 2008. I received my I-797A notice of action and my extended I-94, which is valid until June of 2010. My HR manager said I should be ok as long as I don't leave the USA.
I need to travel outside of the United States for one week. Will I be able to re-enter the USA if I show the approved Petition I-129 with the new I-94 and the expired visa?
Or will I need to go to the consulate to get a new visa stamp extended to June 2010 to re-enter the USA?
I will appreciate your help.

ur wife's parents can write an affidavit stating the petname alias realname.For instance if her petname is "rani" and true name "swathi".They can write an affidavit mentioning that" rani alias swathi "is my daughter in the affidavit and get it notarised from any lawyer in india.The sample format can be obtained from ur attorney.

Hi All,
I went for visa interview in December, but my case was stuck because of administrative processing. I came back on Advance parole. I have the following questions.
1. Can I sponsor my parents visitor visa without any issue? Will the consulate quiz them/stop them because of my H-1 admin processing
2. Also is my admin processing still going on? and can I stamp my H-1 visa in the future after my case is cleared from admin processing.
