Would appreciate the input on my querries by the attorneys & the people who has experienced similar situation.

My spouse's Advance Parole is expiring in mid February 2010. He is pplanning to travel to India by mid - jan & return back by 3rd feb'2010.

My questions is:

1) Is the time gap of 15 days before the expiry of the AP is safe to re-enter USA?

2) SHould he apply for the renewal of the AP before he leaves? If yes, then if the advance parole renewal approves before he re-enters the country, can he still re-enter on the old Advance Parole document or the old one gets automatically nullified?

3) Should he be in the country during the time the advance parole approves?

The situation is very urgent. Immediate feedback is highly appreciated.

A friend of mine (Indian) is married to an Indonesian. Both are on H1B and have approved I-140s. Can my friend apply for a cross changeability? Does it have to happen when my friends spouse's pd becomes current? or can it be done earlier?

Yes he can use Cross changeability.
It can be done when they file I 485 .

The New York Times carried on its front page this morning a Nina Bernstein article that will no doubt cause a shake up at Immigration and Customs Enforcement over what can only be described as a major scandal in the way the agency has dealt with sick detainees at the agency's detention facilities around the country. The details described by Bernstein will no doubt enrage you. I applied for my first EAD in May 2007 and had FP done in June 2007. I am now applying for my EAD renewal. Will there be another FP for the renewal?

This is really urgent as I am traveling to India in April for a month and I don't want to miss the FP appointment. Please let me know if you have info on this?

I applied under the EB1 B at the NSC in January 2010. A month later received an RFE challenging all 6 criteria. The RFE acknowledged some of my work. I sent in more evidence in April. After 2 months of no reply - I opened a SR. Then a month later, I received an RFE again. It was the same RFE with only the date changed. There was no acknowledgemnt of the additional paperwork sent in response to the first RFE.

Any thoughts on how I should proceed.

Chiraj - read the following from the UK Home Office Visa web site

Transit (INF 20) (http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/infs/inf20transit)

seems to say that as long as you have a valid visa (which a greencard is a physical manifestation of an immigrant visa) then you should be ok.
Assuming your son is a US Citizen - he won't need one either.

I am looking for some feedback how is FexEx based in Memphis for joining on Ac1. How easy or difficult is to get a H-1B sponsorship and a new green card sponsorship etc ? How is their immigration lawyers ? I would also appreciate any other feedback on FedEx as an employer.
