I tried my best to attend the DC Rally, but sorry to say that I'm missing a great event. I'm trying to make it up by contributing a very small amount to DC Rally.($ 200 - Google Order #703505280174212 ).
I appreciate all the selfless efforts put in by all the members of this group.

- Came to US in 1997.
- Had Labor + 140 approved in Dec, 99.
- tricked and lured by start-up in silicon valley. Abandoned everything and came to California in Jan, 2000 made the deadly mistake of not taking the copy of approved I-140 (I still slap myself every morning for that mistake ;) )
- Found out they have only one customer
- Founder wasted own 20 Million dollars but never increased the tally for the customer from 1
- "Startup" went under in 2002.
- Joined new company (the only customer of start-up) and filed labor in March, 2003 and enjoying every minute of it... :)

I just came to know about this site on July 11.
Liked the idea about sending flowers and immediately send one basket of flowers to Mr Emilio for July 12 delivery along with a get well soon card.:) Also send letters to local congressmen etc.
After this amazingly delightful news yesterday, I gave $200 to IV..and as mentioned earlier have set up a $50/m recurring deposit just now.
For all those who have still not contributed...
What in the world are you waiting for??

Isn't this sufficient to let you know that IV core and other senior members of their team are ABSOLUTELY COMMITTED to our cause??

You need to hunger-strike when your lawmakers don't listen to you when you have no representation.
Here, lawmakers will listen if you know how to lobby.

looks like many people in this thread are planning to travel using AP. Just curious: are you all currently using EAD? I heard that once you enter using AP your H1 is no longer valid and you must use EAD though you are still working for the same company.

They must have interpreted lot of phone calls and inquiries as "people might not have understood the revision" as they are not from "English Speaking" countries so change it and put "Flip" and "Flop" together as somebody mentioned ahead. But if people might not have understood "Flip" and "Flop" then how can they understand "Flip-Flop"?:)

No. It is true to some extent that we are paying more taxes.
Take my case for an example. My kid is not an American citizen. She moved with us when she was a baby and currently under H-4 status. So she could not obtain social security number that is good for "authorized to work". Without the SSN, we were not eligible for certain child tax credit, which was hundreds of dollars. I tried an ITIN but I got a formal response from IRS that the child still needs to have a SSN to be eligible for the credit.
If you ever filed your tax return yourself and have a kid, you will know what I mean.
