Dear ItIsNotFunny,
For committed people like you, we can request IV core for some special consideration.
But I support this initiative. Just see the FOIA thread. We could not even pool up 5K and there are at least 5000 members out of which at least 500 active users.
Unless there is some intiative like this, it will be impossible for pushing any lobbying activities. There are many people who wants every thing free.

The bill being discussed in the senate if passed is going to be very detrimental to people that are stuck in the labor backlog centers. They wil be forced to redo their labor with the new point based system. That is not fair at all.

depends on javascript to force you to send only 5 messages at a time.
here is small shortcut:So switch off javascript
on IE go
Tools>Internet Options>Security>Internet>Custom level>Scripting
Close the browser and open it for again for your state.
also the format is like this if you want to send numerically

nice to see good activity on the forum. Please hold on from holding any rally until you hear from IV core. We have some good synergy amongst or members in So Cal, lets plan a meeting in the coming weeks and decide on an action plan. I would encourage you to start thinking about ideas/specific actions we can take. I have a few ideas and would share it on our so cal email distribution list. That comment was made for Family Visas, since everyone who applies on Family Visa, might not eventually get it. I read here that King said that everyon on EAD and AP is getting a free ride even thought here green card might get rejected. What does he mean by that. I tahught every process goes thorugha security check. such as I 140, H1b, AP and even EAD.

It will be great if everyone who comes to IV contributes. That would be the ideal case scenario. But I think if there were specific donation drives like the one that is on going, then I believe a lot of people who believe in that cause would contribute and others who dont, wont!
Now, in this donor's only club that IV is proposing to have, what does the core have in mind. Is that going to be a forum where exclusive information is provided? What is the incentive for a "donor" to visit the general public forum? If the "donor"s dont visit the general forum arent you effectively killing off the general forum?
Like I had posted earlier, what stops a donor from making whatever is there in the donors only forum made available to everyone? Isnt this going to cause more divisions within IV?

Say, like having the ability to ask questions to a immigration lawyer or if any lawmaker is ready to answer quetions, the ability to post questions to them. This data will be sought by all of us but if we are not ready to support the effort, it will be tough to invest in it. The subscriptions will help us continue IV initiatives with more zeal and we will know that a lot of members support us.

Not just priority date, but also receipt date.
My priority date has been current for a year now, but are they processing it? No, because my receipt date is 08/28/2006 and they are only doing 08/07/2006 now (after going back one month in Texas).
Thats right....and currently they have at most 400 for each category to give from July 2nd...and might have already used them for adjudicating old PD's. So, only couple of hundred first comers on July 2nd may benefit if processed based on RD and after that...its a big messy backlog center. They will processed based on PD ONLY.

Folks - there is going to be some changes in the strategy here. I have discussed this issue with IV core and we will update the new strategy soon, until then you may continue to send the letters.

Hello,
My wife's NJ license expired too and so was her EAD last month when we went for License renewal (Sept 2010). We had already applied for her EAD renewal which was in process a couple of days before we went.
It was renewed till Feb of 2011.
I would suggest you to take the following along with other stuff (to make up the 6-point ID):
1. Whatever I-94 that is attached in your PP.
2. Your expired EAD card.
3. Your EAD renewal receipt.
4. Just take along H-1B renewal receipt too (but it will not be of any help really).
We went to Wayne DMV in Passaic county (NJ).
Hope you get your license back soon.

I am confused about receipt date?
Notice date is when the receipt notice is generated- That's simple
Is receipt date the date when they do data entry into the system or is it the date when they receive the package even though they may do data entry a month later?
In other words people who filed there application on July 2nd,3rd etc ... and lets say USCIS takes 2 months to receipt those cases.. then after 2 months when the notice is generated won't it have a July 2nd receipt date? for July 2 filers?
