You started this thread saying that USCIS has a "deadline" for completing stuffs last Monday or last last Friday.... All of us trusted you that time - Could you please give us a responsible answer or status Update.

I guess forum is all about sharing information that we gather from different sources. No body can assert anything not even USCIS. They open up the gate for all July filer, then closed it and then re-open it again when many protested. So, when someone shared the news that USCIS is not going to accept the july filings, everyone mocked him but that came out to be true.
Forum is all about sharing information. It depends on our judgement as how much we want to believe on that. Srikondji shared some information which he learned from the CRs, now it's up to you if you want to blindly follow that or use that information as a way to curb your anxiety.
People started cursing logiclife when he posted about the FAQ4 to be released by friday and it didn't. But it did came after 2-3 days. So someone who shared that info with Core might have just said we are trying our best to come up with FAQ4 and will release it by Friday and core shared that info with everyone. But that doesn't mean that people should take that info as if it doesn't come on Friday, it will be the end of the world and core should loose his credibility. FAQ4 did came after couple of days and all those people who were cursing logiclife were no where to be seen.
If you put up a clause that no-one should share the info, unless you have a word from God, I guess we'll not have more than 2 or 3 threads here.
So guys..bottom line is stop fighting over what someone said or not, concentrate on what you are doing about it.
As someone rightly said, "Listen to all but do what you think is right". There is similar adage in hindi but I'm not using hindi so that everyone can understand it.

i just returned from an infopass meeting... the guy i talked to said that they recently have a directive from the DHS/USCIS that they want to separate the legal stuff from the illegal stuff and hence they are planning to adjudicate a record number of EB apps in the next quarter or two... does anyone else concur? is this true or were my ears just ringing in that meeting?

Finally spoke to my congressman's Immigration contact in Bucks County PA.
He sounded supportive and said he will investigate the matter. I am going to call my state senators Sen Specter and Sen Casey's office as well.

It is not a big deal dude...if not for this immigration system, we could be making even more..think about $80-$100/hr if you are an independent contractor. This a minimum for a decent contract with vendor directly.
And if you have ~100-200K for investments, with some experience and any luck..you could be making another 100K out of it from trading and active investing in other areas. That comes to ~250-300K minimum. There are no bounds when life is free and in this great country. Unfortunately, things have turned discriminative and our potentials are being restricted(atleast for non-EAD guys) and you have to be prepared for getting outright kicked out of this country.

I just did the math.
I am sure most of you have assets worth of at least $150,000. So if 300,000 are stuck in the backlog. This would mean if these guys leave this country, then that would be $45 trillion loss for USA.
Guys is there a way to get some media publicity of the possible loss of $45 trillion for USA due to US Immigration mess??

To add the circulating effect of $405billion in economy. For every dollar that is lend, it generates nearly $3-4 into GDP. That will mean nearly loss of $1.6trillion. This is close to 10% of GDP.

Not that I say we need change, but this is a public organization. Everyone has a right to call for election. There is nothing wrong.
Only issue is, whoever wants to contest has to come out with public profile as mentioned by someone before. There are only few people who are openly public and with known real identity on this forum - thats sad!

I checked 2007 return and it has only 100K asset. I am not sure we accumulated 350K since then. I think you got confused with revenue vs. cash on hand / asset.

The problem I see with Los Angeles is the high population of illegals. Any thing here looks like pro-illegal.

I congratulate everyone whoes PD becomes current beginning of next month. But be aware that all of this is no good until USCIS acts on it. USCIS has to match and increase their pace of processing I-140 & I-485s for people to benefit of this movement. There are thousands of people whose PD have been current since April of this year and still they see no movement on their cases. PD becoming current is just the first & crucial step in this long process, but now it all depends on how well USCIS responds by processing cases in FIFO manner.

At least I know 3 or 4 universities in around MI and OH. They have only online classes and on Sunday. It allows most of the students to take their classes that way. The rest 6 days they can work any where and make money and pay the university. One of the universities has 90% of the students from one of the small countries adjacent to India.

Did you have unexpired H1B / I-94? In my case I am on EAD / pending I-485 / AOS (expired H1 / I-94) & BOA didn't approve.
Do you know any one who didn't have H1B / I-94 but got loan from BOA based on AOS?
yes, i had an unexpired h1b/i-94. yes, i do have friends who were not on h1b/i-94 and still got approved from boa. for some reason, i believe, its pretty much the agent who handles your case decides on these issues. i remem' for one or two things which are supposed to be important, my agent asked me not to worry about and i dont think i gave him a copy of my h1b visa either.

They can do "wild" approvals, however, they have to do it as per September visa bulletin. IF they dont have enough approvable 485s that are as per the Sept visa bulletin and if the approvable "ready to go" cases are past the priority dates of September bulletin, then they will be sitting unapproved as they CANT do any kind of "wild" approval.
Keeping all dates current in Sept (like july, but intentionally this time around) could have made is easier on USCIS to have more choice and easily find "ready to go" cases to assign and consume all visa numbers.

For all those who have sent PM.... Please note I am not an attorney or accountant... But then I had consulted my account and few attorney's ( paid the required fees to get them answered)... So please use your own judgement/caution.
1. Yes you can open a LLC singly or jointly with your wife/friend/anyone.
2. You can start the LLC even when you are on H1B but it is better that you wait till you get your EAD to get oprationalized. reason very very conservative view is that you cannot even write a check for your company or deposit a check... but this is a very conservative view....
3. To open a LLC you can use an accountant ( if you have one, it will be cheaper by a couple of hundred dollars) or use agencies like www.legalzoom.com/legalzip/LLCs/llc_procedure.html .... I have used both in the past....
4. Intially you can just form LLC as single or joint partnership and then elect as S corporations for taxing.... I forget within which period it is to be done, if I correctly remember when you file your first tax return or within 6 months you need to elect as filing as single person entity( then it becomes like your personal income) or you could elect as S corp....
5. You will a tax id for the LLC, business license and other documents when you form a LLC, You will need to maintain book and tax records for 3 years... best to have it managed by an accountant
6. You/ your spouse can work for your LLC.... Some of you if you want to after 180 days change employers can move into your LLC and maintain that you are employed in same occupational duties for your own LLC...
